The Department of State Services (DSS) has dropped its invitation to the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Logistics, Prof. Okechukwu Ibeanu.

He was advised to report to the DSS office in Abuja at 2pm on Tuesday.(19.02.19). His invitation may not have been unconnected with the shift in the date of the elections blamed on logistics and operational issues.

Also invited for a chat with the DSS were Chidi Nwafor, the director of ICT; Bimbo Oladunjoye, assistant director ICT, Ken Ukeagu, director of procurement; and Osaze Uzzi, director of voter education and publicity.

Recall that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had last Saturday during briefing of stakeholders and leaders of political parties blamed the postponement of the presidential and national assembly elections on sabotage as well as logistical operational issues.
