The family of Nwakama from Umuwala in Nkwerre Local Government, Imo State announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother, Ezinne (Lolo) Catherine Okwuchi Nwakama. Mama passed in peace at the age of 84.
Lolo Catherine who was a peace-loving woman is survived by several children and grandchildren among whom are Dr Patrick Nwakama, a pharmacologist and Patience Nwakama-Edom, a businesswoman.
The octogenarian was a loving and God fearing woman, a gesture that made her to be recognized with Ezinne title in the Catholic Church. Due to her contributions toward the upliftment of the church in the community, Mama was also bestowed with the title “Pillar of the church ” by Saint John Catholic Church Umuwala, Imo State.
As a unique leader, Ezinne Catherine was one of founding members of Umuwala Development Union (UDU) women wing. Lolo was the first chairwoman and the matron of the group.
Mama who strongly believes in education, helped her husband in providing good education to their children and relations.
The children called on families and friends to pray for the soul of Mama . We love you but God loves you most.
